Human Biology Club's
Outreach Program
The Outreach program is a student-run mentoring initiative presented by UCI's Human Biology Club. As mentors, our goal is to guide middle and high school students on their academic journeys and inspire them to pursue science! We have 2 programs that any UCI student can get involved in, regardless of year, major, or expertise. Learn more below!
Winter & Spring

The Spring Outreach Mentor Applications are now open and anybody interested is welcome to apply! The Human Biology Club’s Outreach Program teaches middle students in underserved communities about various topics related to human biology and health, including the Digestive System, Respiratory System, Cardiovascular System, Neurobiology and Wellbeing, The Biology of Addiction, and new lessons to come! In addition to the academic content in the lessons and Q&A sessions, and fun quizzes, we also prepare the students for the next step in their educational journeys. Our program consists of weekly online sessions in Spring Quarter. Everybody is welcome to apply!
The application is now closed.
Next Generation Scientists
Summer Research Enrichment Internship (SREI) x Next Generation Scientists (NGS) is a high school introductory research program hosted by Free Clinic Project at UCI (FCP) and the Human Biology Club at UCI (HBC) catered towards students from underserved high schools. Mentors will work with 2-3 high school students throughout the duration of the program.
